about lumi

A shooting star that fell into the sea, and was reborn as a sea fairy!

As the Mother of the Universe cried out in pain with the death and destruction on Earth, her tears fell crashing towards it the form of stars. Some of these glittering stars fell onto land, but one managed to fall into the deep sea as a part of itself broke off. Light poured from the star, illuminating the depths of the ocean. Though they weren't as bright as they were crashing through layers of the atmosphere, the brilliant light of the star didn't diminish. With little knowledge about their origins, this star took to land to learn more about the world they had fallen to.
Although the brilliant spectacle of a flying star of sparkles and light was enchanting, it wouldn't be a suitable form for most mortal beings and communication with others. This small spirit found the ocean comforting, and decided to take on a form more suitable for living on both land and sea. Though their form can be changed at will, there seemed to be some comfort in this appearance.

When do you stream? Do you have any plans on making YouTube content?
✧ I typically stream when I have a solid, predictable opening in my week, and I'll do my best to update Twitter (Now X) with a pinned stream schedule for the week.
✧ I do plan on making YouTube videos! I've always really liked the idea, and I'd love to share my drawing process or other silly ideas. It'll most likely be art-focused, I'm not an epic pro gamer.
How long have you been doing art?
✧ I’ve been doing for most of my life, but I started doing commissions and client work in 2018! I started doing digital illustration work around that time as well.
What is normally your favorite part/step of a drawing?
✧ My favorite part is usually adding unnecessary sparkles and texture, If the project allows it.
Are you accepting commissions?
✧ For all new clients, please visit https://vgen.co/lumi for my current availability for both personal and commercial work. For larger companies or VTuber agencies, please email me at aazeath@gmail.com.
What art programs do you use?
✧ I use Procreate and Clip Studio Paint 2.x, and have some experience using programs including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
✧ For Vtuber Models, I draw and cut the parts in Clip Studio Paint, and use Live2D Cubism for rigging.
Do you have any Original Characters (OCs)?
✧ I do! I’m still making info pages for them, but I have quite a few! I hope you’ll stay tuned to learn more about them in the future.

faq

What art tablet/keyboard do you use?
✧ I started doing digital art about 6 years ago on an iPad Pro! All of my recent work has been on an XPPen Artist 22 Pro (2nd Gen), and I recently got a XPPen Artist 12 (2nd Gen) that I’m excited to try out and review! I used to use a Wacom Intuos Art a long time ago, but have since preferred screen tablets.
✧ I currently use a custom keyboard! Keychron Q65 QMK, Durock Sea Glass linear switches, with GMK Lavender keycaps.
✧ I also use a TourBox Elite for Macros and drawing.
What has been your favorite project to work on?
✧ My favorite project that I’ve worked on so far has been my live2d model! I learned a lot all at once between separating an illustration, to doing keyform animation in Live2D Cubism. It was a very ambitious undertaking with my extreme expectations, but I think it turned out really good for it being my first completed model!
✧ I am more than sure that my 2.0 model will take that spot, and I'm looking forward to sharing the process with you!
Do you have an Online Shop?
✧ For my previous physical good launch (Pebble Plushies) I used Ko-fi. I'm looking into an alternative for future launches, but I don't have the extra seashells currently to start hosting my own website.
✧ I will most likely host my own website that has shop integration for customers in the US, and use Etsy for international orders.
